About Us

You can look forward to gastronomic culture with a vision – which at the same time looks back on almost three centuries. Because what shines in rich colors today began as early as 1738. At that time, Michael Bildstein registered a new inn in Mönchberg.

Run by different owners over the centuries, it was to become a central anchor point for guests from the Spessart and beyond. From Arab princes and mayors to hiking groups and the Mönchberger from next door, a wide variety of personalities feasted at a high level until 1970.

Our team would like to make the unique mixture of professional cuisine, top wines and special location pulsate again.
